2023 WREST POINT SANDY BAY REGATTA

The Sandy Bay Regatta is one of the longest running regattas in the world. Now in its 175th year, like many regattas, it came from working seafarers testing their skills against their mates. So, sports like sailing and rowing became the main drawcards for the public.

It will be a great day from 8am until 4pm.

We have our popular exhibition races and 'come and try' water activities for patrons to enjoy. Plus, there will be roving entertainers, face painters and music throughout the day.

The City of Hobart Citizenship Ceremony will go ahead at 10.30am, and we look forward to celebrating the commitment of so many new Australians.
