The Junior Miss Regatta Girl competition is about building confidence, having fun and developing a positive body image.

The Junior Miss Regatta Girl is divided into five age groups – Under 3, Under 7, Under 10, Under 12 and Under 16. To enter any of these categories you must be under that age on 26 January 2019.  First, second and third place will be awarded in each category with lots of great prizes up for grabs.

The junior event starts at 12.30pm but please arrive at least 15 minutes earlier to register your details.

This year the judging will be based on a "Summer Fashion outfit" suitable for a special fun filled summer's day.  All  "Summer outfits" should be age appropriate and entrants are encouraged to be neat and tidy.

We encourage all young girls to come down and "have a go" on Australia Day, not only for the terrific prizes on offer but to also develop invaluable skills in personal presentation…and of course to have lots of fun!

Entry Fee $3.

The ‘Kid’s Corner’ has been running for a few years now and is building to be an exciting and active area for the regatta. Activities in Kid’s Corner start at 9:00am and finish at 4:00pm. You will find the Kid’s Corner along the fence of the playground area. It provides fun activities in the shade as well as many sporting activities on the grass area in front of the kid’s tent.

The majority of children’s activities are free and include colouring, play dough and biscuit decorating. In addition to these continuous activities we are developing a Kid’s program that has specific art and craft activities happening every half hour that cater for a wide range of ages. Some of the activities you will see happening throughout the day will be:

Children’s relays and sports activities

Treasure Hunts in the sand every half hour

Art and Craft Activities every half hour

Tug of War competitions

Cupcake decorating competitions

Face Painting

Aussie Nail Polish

Fishing for prizes

Colouring competitions

Scavenger Hunts

Life Be In It – between 12pm and 2pm

** The majority of these activities are free, however for specific art and craft activities we ask for a gold coin donation to cover costs
